Subsequently, I eagerly signed up for the Jaipur-Ajmer-Abhaneri tour with City Tales, and the rich tapestry of history, culinary delights, and the wonderful individuals I encountered solidified my commitment to this endeavour. The friendships I made in Jaipur are for a lifetime now. Since then, I've become a regular attendee of the Sunday heritage walks and have embarked on three heritage tours spanning Jaipur-Ajmer-Abhaneri, Hampi (in Karnataka), and Lucknow. What began as a reluctance to wake up early has transformed into eager anticipation for each Sunday, thanks to Rameen’s meticulous storytelling, narration and the ability to connect us to the soul of the story and character, which made me fall in love with Dilli and even the ones explored outside, making it a remarkable experience everytime. As a History student and a History enthusiast I was always keen to learn about the History of the place where I live or ever visited. It was that time when I shifted from Delhi to Faridabad for a year and I spotted the bridge of Sarai Khwaja there and accidentally came across this City Tales post having photo of it. Since then I've been dedicatedly following Rameen's page CityTales to dig deep into the lost/ hidden historically significant structures in India. About a year and a half back I came across an Instagram post of KHOJ walks by City Tales. I got really excited and registered for the Tughlaqabad Fort walk. It was simply amazing. I liked the way Rameen Bhai narrated the story without romanticizing it unlike others and making it easy to understand for the people from non-history backgrounds. His historical perspective seems unbiased and factually correct and cherry on the cake is his storytelling style.
